Catalyst Design and Synthesis

One goal of the Caputo Group is to develop rationally designed complexes that can act as stand alone photocatalysts for solar fuels synthesis. Initial projects will focus on using earth abundant metals with ligands that are known to promote proton coupled electron transfer for CO2 reduction and hydrogen generation from water.
